India in Pixels @indiainpixels is proud to host the first Rigved Hackathon. We invite you to build anything from a web app to data viz to mantra visualizer to a mobile app that can help a beginner appreciate the RigVed in a whole new way.
Thanks to the generous support of iip’s community on X, the prize money pool has gone up from 7k to 50k!

Some clarifications for the hackathon:
1. Can I submit a video?
No, we are exploring the intersection of tech and literature here, we want to see a novel interactive web app or a data analysis of the RigVed, there has to be a technical component to your project.
2. Can we form a team? What’s the limit?
We don’t care if you participate as a team or individually. Only your project quality matters.
3. How to register?
There is no need for registration
4. How to submit?

5. How much do we win?
For now we are thinking of splitting the prize money as 25k for Gold, 15k for Silver and 10k for Bronze, this can change based on project quality we receive. In the event no project matches our expectations, we might not award a certain prize.
6. What’s the goal of this Hackathon?
Tech and spiritual literature have been disconnected spaces largely in India. We want to see what comes out of the intersection. We also want more people to be able to interact with knowledge that has been out of reach for a very long time of history for a large section of society. Rigved is an excellent starting point.
