It’s interesting to note that often Hindus who took action to defend Hinduism and Hindus have hardly been part of the RSS, who often try to take credit for saving all Hindus when in reality the RSS’s overall effect over time has intellectually, mentally and physically helped to disarm Hindus. Yes, in the beginning under Dr Hedgewar, some Hindus joining the RSS were joining to take some action, but overall, over time, especially when Guru Golwalkar took over, the RSS became just a cult with no ideological vision or framework looking like clowns in massive colonial shorts, which is why even early members ended up leaving and joining CPI and others.
This is why, apart from doing some good social work, they never come out in mass numbers demanding temples be free from the government or come to defend Hindus and Hinduism, but worse, they can’t even defend themselves when under attack, and run the other direction bowing down to anti-Hindus for a badge of honour. As already mentioned, their overall success has been in totally messing up the Hindu mind to servitude. But they are not alone to blame, as many Hindu sects, Gurus, and swamis have also contributed to the Hindu mind to escapism and spineless behaviour, which is why these millions of Hindu temples never raise the persecution of Hindus past and present.
Otherwise, today there would be a Gopal Mukherjee or a Shivaji or a Rani Durgavati living in every street, town and city across India because real Hinduism calls for action on the ground.
August 16, 1946 — Kolkata was drenched in blood. Jinnah’s call for “Direct Action” led to one of the most horrifying massacres in Indian history. Hindus were unarmed, unprepared — and betrayed by those sworn to protect them. But amid the chaos, one man refused to run. Gopal Chandra Mukherjee, known as Gopal Mukherjee, a humble meat-seller, rose to defend his people with unmatched courage. He didn’t give speeches. He didn’t write petitions. He organized, armed, and fought back — turning the tide of history. This is the untold story of a forgotten Hindu hero, the man who saved Kolkata from becoming Pakistan. by Prachyam
