The attack on Sri Vishweshateertha Swami of the Udupi Pejawar Mutt took place not far from the Sri Krishna Mutt in Belagavi leading to speculations that it was pre-planned. Unidentified people pelted stones at the convoy of vehicles carrying one of the most powerful gurus of Karnataka, Sri Vishweshateertha Swami of the Udupi Pejawar Mutt, near Belagavi in northwest Karnataka.
However, none, including the seer, was injured in the stone-pelting incident, which took place near RPD cross in Belagavi on Monday night. The Tilakwadi police have registered a case and are searching for the miscreants.
According to the police, the windshield of both the vehicles were damaged in the incident. The attack took place not far from the Sri Krishna Mutt in Belagavi leading to speculations that it was pre-planned.
