When his mother was battling a serious illness, Monu Meturbala made a promise to Lord Shiva — if she recovered, he would run across India to visit all 12 Jyotirlingas.
His mother recovered, and the 19-year-old from Bihar began his extraordinary journey on foot. Running nearly 50 km every day, he has already covered around 8,000 km and visited five Jyotirlingas.
No vehicle, no shortcuts — just faith, endurance and a son determined to fulfil his promise. A journey of devotion that is inspiring people across India. In a video that went viral on social media, Monu was seen being stopped by police, who noticed his unusual pilgrimage and interacted with him about his journey.
During his long journey on foot, Monu Meturbala met people who touched his feet in respect and sought his blessings, while others gathered to encourage him as he continued his religious pilgrimage across the country.
