Indian medical teams have set up a mobile hospital in Caracas to treat survivors of Venezuela’s devastating twin earthquakes, which have claimed 1,719 lives, injured over 5,000 people, and displaced thousands. One survivor praised the Indian doctors, saying their treatment helped ease her pain after enduring the terrifying disaster. The humanitarian mission comes as rescue and relief operations continue across the quake-hit nation, with tens of thousands still affected and thousands remaining unaccounted for. While Venezuela’s Acting President Delcy Rodriguez was recently in India, she visited her Guru Sathya Sai Baba’s Ashram, so not surprising to hear Ram Siya Ram playing at the medical camp.
Also the Sri Sathya Sai International Organization (SSSIO) Venezuela are active on the ground and have sent a message for those who want to help.

We are saddened to hear about the two severe earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 in La Guaira, Venezuela. According to media reports, as of June 27, more than 1,400 people have lost their lives and nearly 70,000 are unaccounted for. The damage and losses are significant and have created an urgent need for humanitarian relief.
Sri Sathya Sai International Organization (SSSIO) Venezuela responded immediately to assist those affected by this tragedy. Volunteers, including many Young Adults, are distributing food and supplies as well as helping with rescue and cleanup efforts. Latin American countries of the SSSIO, and the SSSIO Humanitarian Relief Committee are exploring additional ways to assist the affected people of Venezuela.
