Dipu Chandra Das, who used to work at a garment factory in Bhaluka Upazila, Bangladesh, was beaten to death by a far right Jihadist mob that accused him of making derogatory statements against Islam and the Prophet. After the beating, the mob hanged his body from a tree and set it on fire.

In a deeply emotional and heart-wrenching conversation, CNN-News18 speaks to the father of Dipu Chandra Das, a young Hindu man brutally lynched by a mob in Bangladesh following allegations of blasphemy. Recounting the horrifying moments leading up to his son’s death, Dipu’s father describes the fear, helplessness, and trauma his family continues to endure.

He raises serious questions about the failure of law enforcement to protect his son despite rising tensions and threats of violence. The incident has sparked outrage across the region, once again highlighting the dangers of mob justice, the misuse of blasphemy allegations, and the vulnerability of religious minorities. Human rights groups and activists are demanding accountability, justice for the victim, and stronger safeguards to prevent such tragedies. This exclusive interview sheds light on the human cost of mob violence and the urgent need for reform to ensure safety, justice, and dignity for all citizens in Bangladesh.

Exiled Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen has alleged that Hindu youth Dipu Chandra Das was lynched in Bangladesh after a coworker falsely accused him of blasphemy. The incident occurred in Mymensingh despite police intervention. Authorities have condemned the crime, arrested seven suspects. Watch to know what really happened?

Bangladesh authorities have arrested seven individuals in connection with the brutal public murder of 25-year-old Hindu youth Dipu Chandra, allegedly accused of blasphemy. The Rapid Action Battalion carried out operations across multiple locations to detain the suspects, identified as Mohammed Limon Sarkar, Tarek Hossain, Mohammed Manik Mia, and four others.

A 25 yr old dalit Hindu citizen of Bangladesh was falsely accused of “blasphemy” by his co-workers at a garment factory, arrested by the police and then, dragged out of the police station by a large mob of bløød-thirsty student jihadis, rampaging on the streets following the assassination of a prominent student jihadist leader Sharif Osman Hadi (one of the ring-leaders of the orchestrated deep-state regime change operation that ousted the duly elected Sheikh Hasina govt).

The jihadist mob brutally beat up Dipu Chandra, tied him up & dragged him on the streets, hung him from a tree and set him fire – all the while joyfully raising the ubiquitous jihadist slogans and live-streaming the carnage. Jihadist mobs also attacked the Indian Embassy & missions across the country and burnt down two Bangladeshi newspaper offices.

In response, the US, Germany, EU & UN Human Rights handles posted messages mourning the loss of the jihadist”youth leader” #SharifOsmanHadi with no mention of the horrific lynching of the Hindu man or the attacks on Indian missions & media offices. Has the news finally reached the USA after a billion of us tweeted about it? Good! Where is Vivek Ramaswamy @VivekGRamaswamy? Where is JD Vance @JDVance ? I would like to see Donald Trump @realDonaldTrump speak on this. ? As of now the murder of Dipu Chandra Das has seen page 1 coverage in India, Bangladesh and Nepal – where it is dominating news – but zero coverage in western media. Let’s hope that changes. Western media outlets all have South Asian correspondents – Naomi Canton @

“It is NOT CLEAR what exactly Dipu Chandra Das had said and to whom. No one could specify it. Factory floor incharge FORCED Dipu Das to resign. He then handed him over to the mob: Bangaldesh Police,

I stand with Hindus in Bangladesh who are being persecuted solely because of their religious beliefs! A Hindu man named Dipu Chandra Das was lynched by a mob in Bhaluka Upazila, Mymensingh District, Bangladesh, on the night of December 18, 2025. Below is a copy of my letter to President Trump respectfully urging him to take notice of the situation and help protect Hindus in Bangladesh. I deeply respect and appreciate President Donald Trump for his strong stance on religious freedom and for taking action when Christians were persecuted in parts of Africa. His willingness to call out religious persecution sent a powerful message that human rights matter, regardless of where the victims live. –Shayan Krishna @shayan_speaks
