Video : Japanese Boy Greets Yogi Adityanath With A Namaste And Sanskrit Chants

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on his visit to Japan interacted with the children of Yamanashi Public School, with one boy greeting him with a namaste, touching his feet and reciting Sanskrit shlokas, with Yogi reciting along. The boy and the other children present were then awarded chocolates.

The emotional exchange suddenly went viral, drawing praise online. The visit itself centred on expanding trade ties, strategic cooperation and attracting Japanese investment to Uttar Pradesh.

Yogi also met Japan’s Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi . Yet it was the namaste and the recitation that defined the public memory of the day, reinforcing how Indian traditions remain strong across generations and across the world.

On the second day of his visit to Japan, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath interacted with students at Yamanashi Public School in Yamanashi Prefecture. The engagement highlighted cultural exchange and educational ties as part of efforts to strengthen India-Japan relations. Yogi shared insights about Uttar Pradesh’s development journey and encouraged deeper cooperation between the youth of both nations.
