Among the three innocent victims tragically killed in a mass shooting at a downtown Austin bar by an Islamist, along with 19-year-old Ryder Harrington and 30-year-old Jorge Pederson, was 21-year-old Savitha Shan, one of the students at UT Austin. The suspect was 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne, who was shot dead at the scene. Diagne was wearing a “shirt emblazoned with a design similar to the Iranian flag” under his “Property of Allah” sweatshirt at the time of the shooting, that he had a copy of the Quran in his vehicle, and that the search of his residence uncovered “an Iranian flag and pictures of Iranian leaders”.
