A Texas-based American man, Nick Dearman, has attracted attention online after posting a video of himself reciting the Hanuman Chalisa at high speed. Dearman, who describes himself as a Hanuman devotee and holistic health coach, shared the video on Instagram. The clip has received more than 1.4 million views and over 2 lakh comments, with many Indian viewers praising his pronunciation and devotion.
Dearman has also spoken about Lord Hanuman as the main deity of his devotional practice. The Hanuman Chalisa is a Hindu devotional hymn dedicated to Lord Hanuman and was composed by poet-saint Tulsidas in Awadhi. Its main body contains 40 chaupais praising Hanuman’s strength, courage and devotion.
