Peel Regional Police of Canada have arrested Ashok Kumar, a 69-year-old religious leader from Brampton, on charges of sexual assault. The arrest follows an incident on March 3, 2025, where Kumar allegedly assaulted a woman while performing a religious ceremony at her residence. Kumar, also known as Ashok Sharma, has been a prominent figure in the Brampton religious community for several years.
