Here, Professor Vamsee Juluri responds to a recent CNN news story about the right-wing racists among the MAGA who have been targeting Indians all year with racist abuse nonstop.
In the news story, CNN use evidence from reports by ‘specialists’, raising the recent racism. But, further in the pages, as expected, these ‘experts’ expose their own Hinduphobic hypocrisy, claiming there’s no such thing as Hinduphobia, but it is made up by the ‘far right ‘ Hindu nationalists from flat earth probably, even though the right-wing racists have been calling Hindus ‘sand demon worshippers’ and followers of the black demon Ma Kali and other hinduphobic racist and religious abuse.
Of course, these reports are written by the Gunga Din colonised Indians with ‘hindoo’ names wanting a pat on the back from gora sahib, which is why they quote that far-right Hinduphobic nazis front known as ‘Hindus for Human Rights’, to play down the Hinduphobic racism by MAGA.
CNN, along with other media and academics from the ‘left’ progressive’ enlightened whites ‘, has a whole history of Hinduphobic crimes rooted in racism and religious hate, so are they going to debate with Hindu academics about it? Or is it just another case of my left-wing Hinduphobic racism is superior to your right-wing Hinduphobic racism? So give us the Nobel Peace Prize to peeve off President Trump ?
CNN published a story on growing anti-Indian racism in the U.S. which led to many people feeling “seen” at last – but the sad truth is CNN’s selective framing here (and in the past) has been part of the problem. As a media researcher, I walk you through a close look at some of the studies cited here, and how the authors of these studies are functioning like “controlled opposition” for racists, feeding and enabling them through their dishonesty.
