Italian artist Giampaolo Tomassetti presented a special painting of the iconic ghats of Varanasi during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Italy.

Indian classical music found a special resonance in Rome as five Italian artistes performed the beautiful Hamsadhwani during PM Modi’s community welcome. Five Italian artistes performed the Hamsadhwani – Mr. Valerio Bruni (Santoor), Mr. Leo Vertunni (Sitar), Mr. Simone Mattiello (Bansuri), Mr. Francesco Gherardi (Tabla) and Mr. Nicolo Mellochi (Bansuri).

 

As PM Modi landed in Italy, he received a grand and warm welcome from the Indian diaspora in Rome upon reaching the hotel. He greeted the members of the Indian diaspora and people gathered to welcome him at the hotel he is staying at. As he entered the hotel, he witnessed cultural performances, including a classical dance and soulful instrumental music.
